PTSA Parent Network Projects

What are Parent Networks? Parent Networks are gatherings for parents and guardians from each grade level to get acquainted and share parenting ideas that revolve around day-to-day issues.

Who can be involved? All parents and guardians who enjoy a supportive peer group discussion regarding their children’s social and emotional development.

What is the purpose of each Parent Network? Meetings are scheduled once each month with the purpose of widening circles of community, support and responsibility. Parent Networks provide an opportunity for parents to share ideas, concerns and strategies around issues such as friendships, parent-child communication, emerging independence, discipline and social life (dating, parties, etc.). Issues related to academics, school programs and personnel are appropriately addressed elsewhere.

When are Parent Network meetings held? Informal gatherings occur on a monthly basis, often at a local coffee house. Groups may schedule evening meetings to address specific topics of interest. Reminders will appear on the Paly Link.
